John W. Robinson Sr.

Jack passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Brian’s House at the age of 81 years. He was born August 19, 1930 in Bay City, MI. Jack was a member of Bay Valley Christian Church and served as an usher. He retired from G.M. Powertrain Bay City Plant, was a salesman for National Distributors and was a driver for Labadie Auto Company. Jack was a past member of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #88, Y.M.C.A. and U.A.W. Local #362. He enjoyed golfing, swimming, bonfires in the back yard and most of all he had a passion for driving.

He is survived by his wife the former Maxine M. Leske whom he married January 21, 1950. Also surviving are his children and their spouses; Deborah Perry, John W. Robinson Jr. both of Bay City, MI, Robert J. and Jan Robinson of Holland and Cheryl and Rev. David S. Ferranti of Bay City, MI, his grandchildren; James (Tina) Perry, Beth Klunder, Steven (Kim) Neveau, Molly (Scott) Stabler, Matthew Ferranti and Hannah Ferranti, eight great grandchildren, his nieces and nephews; Gaynell (Al) Drescher, Tom (Ann) Burton, Marge (Rich) Velasquez, Cindy Huizer, Harry Anderson, Betsy Morris and Tina (Phil) Warner, his brother-in-law; Neville Parish, . He was preceded in death by his parents; John W. and Myrtle (Mc Keller) Robinson, his sister and brother-in-law; Shirley and Leonard Burton, his sister-in-law; Jean Parish, his son-in-law; James Perry and his nephew; Bill Burton. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff at the Carriage House Nursing Home and Brian’s House for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during his time of need.

Funeral services will take place Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Bay Valley Christian Church. Officiating will be Rev. David S. Ferranti with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Jack will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
