Barbara Lou Fluegel

Barbara Lou Fluegel, 89, of Bay City, MI passed away peacefully on October 7, 2019 after a brief illness.  Barbara was born in Sanford, MI on April 10, 1930. She raised a family of three sons over the course of a 60 year marriage.  Barbara was an avid reader and was referred to as "the librarian" in her neighborhood.  Her life was spent making beautiful things in more forms than you can count. She enjoyed creating everything from clothes for her young children, to hand crafted thank you cards.  Calligraphy to paintings and everything in between, Barb had a knack for it.  She was preceded in death by her three older brothers and her husband of 60 years, Harry.  Barbara has three sons, Gregg from Roscommon MI, Jeff, who lives in Austin, TX and Chris, from Clarkston, MI.  Karen, who is married to Chris, is Barb's beloved daughter in law.  Barbara has seven grandchildren, Jonathon, Austin, Joshua, Sarah, Morgan, Michael and Lina.

The Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Hall. The family will be present at the Funeral Home on Saturday to receive family and friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at Gephart Funeral Home.
Per Barbara's wishes, in lieu of flowers, please make a generous donation to the American Cancer Society or St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
