Betty Clements

Betty Clements, of Bay City, passed away peacefully Saturday March 10, 2012 at Red Oaks AFC Home, age 80. The daughter of the late Harry & Marguerite (Duncan) Ellery, she was born July 31, 1931 in Bay City. On November 7, 1953, Betty married Robert Clements, who preceded her in death on April 2, 2010. Betty and Bob enjoyed traveling and spending time at their cabin in AuGres. Betty is survived by her children and their spouses: Mark & Teri, and their children Megan and Michael; Cindi & Jim Skop of Boyne City; Cathy & Ron Jankoska and their children Ryan, Angela (Justin) Jamrog and Rachel (Charlie) Lesperance; Dave & Sally and their children Bob (Heidi) and Jason; Tom & Tami of Ann Arbor and their children Adam and Mackenzie; Kevin & Michelle and Kevin's children James (Babsi), Dan (Heather), Matthew and Rebekah. Seven great-grandchildren, Leah, Derek, Ivy, Alo, Lacey, Riley and Bo. Her sister, Susan Kelly and brothers, Harry Ellery and Mike Ellery. Betty was also preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Tokai. Thank you to the staff of Red Oaks AFC for the exceptional care that was provided and also thanks to Betty's dear friends, George & Lois Harding and Jan McCann. At Betty's request, cremation has taken place. The family will greet friends at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00pm. A private burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
