Beverly Edith Herber Bay City, Michigan Our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region with her family at her side. Age 94 years. The daughter of the late Russell and Fern (Cuthbert) Burley was born May 6, 1921 in Bay City, Michigan and has resided in Bay City most of her life. Beverly was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. She was formerly employed as assistant manager of the Secretary of State Office on Columbus Ave. in Bay City and retired from General Motors Co. She had a great love for her family, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished the special memories she made with them. In her free time, Beverly enjoyed going to the casino, going out to eat, shopping, making ceramics and had a love for drawing. Left behind to cherish Beverly's memories are two sons and two daughters-in-law; Paul Christopher and Patricia G. Herber Sr. of Pinconning and Timothy Henry and Marilyn M. Herber, one daughter; Pamela Jeanne Herber, one son-in-law; William M. Wisniewski all of Bay City, nine beloved grandchildren; Paul (Debra) Herber Jr., Robert (Tammy) Herber, Patricia (Randy) Murphy, James (Amy) Herber, Kelly Herber, Matthew (Christi) Herber, William Wisniewski Jr., Jamie (John) Ross, Amanda (Drew) Sherry, nineteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; one sister; Mary Jo Robb of Midland, one brother and two sisters-in-law; Gerald and Phyllis Burley and Joyce Burley of Bay City and numerous nieces and nephews. On December 5, 1942 she married Henry H. Herber Jr. and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1960. She was also preceded in death by one daughter; Susan Beverly Wisniewski, one infant granddaughter; Amy Herber, her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (1010 33rd St. Bay City, Michigan 48708). Officiating will be a Rev. Joel E. Pankow with the Committal Service following for the family in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. to receive visitors on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Herber will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
