Brenda J. Westover

Brenda passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Covenant Harrison at the age of 79 years. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 9, 1941 to the late Dewey and Edith Horton. Brenda married Richard Westover on December 12, 1959 and they were married for 60 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport and worked and retired in 1995 after 20 years from Dow Corning in the medical products plant. In her spare time she enjoyed playing BINGO and crocheting. She would make hats and various items for service members and pillows for surgical patients. Brenda also invented hand grips for walkers and canes.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Sherry Henderson (Asa Strudgeon) and Vickie Wagner; son-in-law, Mark Dykema; grandchildren, Aaron Dykema, Ashley Wagner and Michael Wagner (Haley Goist) and brother-in-law, William (Mary Jean) Westover. Brenda was preceded in death by her three brothers and special friend, Pinky.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Donald Killey with private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
