Carol Lee Mularz (Lothian) of Bay City passed away early Sunday, November 10, 2013 at age 72. Carol was born June 10, 1941. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Lou (Tim) Benecke, Christine (Greg) Licht, and Cathy (Matt) Schmidt all of Bay City; eight grandchildren Christine Benecke, Lauren (Joel) Voss, Joel Benecke, Joshua (Heather Lowell) Jaynes Janelle (Zach Shufelt) Jaynes, Ryan (Kim) Schmidt, Greg (Tara) Schmidt, David Schmidt and seven great-grandchildren: Andrew, Brayden, Gabriella, Bowen, Emma, Daelyn and Chloe. Also surviving are three brothers and one sister Ron (Jan) Lothian, Char (Terry) Parry, Rick (Linda) Lothian, Rob (Karen) Lothian, her aunt Noreen LeRoux and countless other close friends and family members. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Irene (Peggy) and Alvin Brady, and Marvin and Bea Lothian. Carol was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish, retired from Michigan Bell and worked at Butler Telecom and the Great Lakes Loons. She enjoyed baseball, her friends and being a grandmother, especially a "great" one! The Funeral Liturgy & Rite of Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 607 E. South Union, Bay City, 48706. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Vigil for the Deceased beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Mularz will lie instate at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
