Caroline J. Kaufmann Linwood, Michigan Caroline passed away Thursday evening, May 10, 2012 at Brian's House. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late Arthur and Barbara (Oswald) Gerard was born November 16, 1931 in Bay County, Michigan. Caroline worked as a floral designer at M&M Flowers and was retired. She was the past president of the Linwood Lioness Club, past elected official of Linwood Water District, past secretary of Linwood Park Board, past president of Linwood Civic Improvement and past president of American Legion Post #239 auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Jane and Alvin Matich, one granddaughter; Heather Matich all of Linwood, MI, one brother and sister-in-law; Mike and Lynda Gerard of Linwood, MI, two nephews and one niece; Michael (Lori) Gerard, Brian (his friend; Paula) Gerard and Yvonne (John) Bickhom, one great niece; Alicia Gerard and one great nephew; Nicholas Gerard. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her step mother; Barbara Gerard. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Brian's House and to Dr. Mohamed Ali and Staff for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during her time of need. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. with private inurnment in St. Johns Cemetery in Pinconning. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial card for Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
