Cecelia W. "Ceil" Pashak

Ceil passed away Wednesday morning, October 9, 2013 at Bay Medical Care Facility at the age of 96 years. The daughter of the William and Catherine (Schwab) Pashak was born October 25, 1916 in Beaver Twp., MI. She was a member of St. Mary the Assumption Catholic Church. Ceil enjoyed being with family members and always looked forward to her sister or one of her nieces coming over to take her out to eat. She loved gardening, tending to her many house plants and watching TV. She was very appreciative of any kindness shown to her especially cards and letters sent by family and friends. She was a dear and a special aunt to her many nieces and nephews and was especially close to nieces Dorothy Valley, Agatha Jankowiak and Teresa Loree. Left behind to cherish her memory is her sister, Eleanor Cote, four sisters-in-law, Dolly Pashak, Beulah Pashak, Alma (Pashak) Arnold and Mildred Pashak, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary (George) Horstman; seven brothers, William Pashak, Jr. John (Ellie) Pashak, George (Elsie) Pashak, Arthur Pashak, Lawrence Pashak, Bernard Pashak and Donald Pashak; one brother-in-law, Gene Cote. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary the Assumption Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with private interment in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ceil will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
