Charles E. Harris Jr.

Charles passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Carriage House at the age of 61 years. He was born in Flint, Michigan on June 22, 1958 to Charles and Shirley (Wilber) Harris. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. On April 9, 1996 he married the former Karri Ann Brown in Las Vegas and were married for 23 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, RC planes and cars and electronics. Most of all he loved Bit-O-Honey candies and his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Karri; children, James Slack, Richard (Alicia Parady) Slack and Thomas Harris; grandchildren, Carson Schoch, Landyn Slack, Jackson "Jackson 5" and Caleb Harris; mother, Shirley Hare; brothers and sisters, Douglas Harris, Theresa Kotewa, Greg (Judy) Harris, Vickie (Robert) Deprekel, Tracie Harris and Stacie (Bob) Dunsmore and many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his Father and step-mother, Charles (Jean) Harris and grandson, Chandler Slack.
Funeral and committal service will take place on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. with military honors under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell with cremation to follow the service. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
