Charles N. Westphal "Chuck"

Chuck passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 67 years. Charles was born in Steubenville, Ohio on September 3, 1951 to the late Stanley and Patricia (Cash) Westphal. On September 4, 1970 he married the former Marilyn Wieland in Bay City and were married for 48 years. Chuck served his country in the National Guard and worked as a Boilermaker. He was a member of Local 169 and served as president of the Building Trades for many years. Chuck also served on the board for Camp Fish Tales. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and dogs.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Marnie Westphal; son, Max (Jennifer) Westphal; grandchildren, Hannah and Grant Landosky, Aiden and Tristan Westphal; brothers, Terry Westphal and William (Sharon) Westphal; sister, Rhonda (Becky Smith) Westphal; mother-in-law, Lois Wieland; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Westphal; nephew, Jordan Westphal; niece, Ashly Westphal and father-in-law, Gerald Wieland.
Funeral and committal service will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie with private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
