Christine Rasch, of Bay City, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at her residence, age 60. The daughter of the late Roland Holland & Ellen (Harder) Hayes, she was born March 2, 1952 in Pigeon, MI. Christine was retired from 3M in Midland. She was a member of the North Euclid Church of God. Christine was a great baker and cook, and enjoyed taking care of her flowers and her berry garden from which she made many different jams. She also enjoyed perch fishing and would sing when she had a fish on the line, which was often. She was a big fan of Mickey Mouse, spending her 50th birthday with Mickey and Minnie. Most importantly, Christine loved spending time with her grandchildren. God truly broke the mold when He made Christine. On March 6, 1997 Christine married Russell G. Rasch and he survives her along with her children, Tim (Angie) Prime of Virginia, Mike (Kathy) Prime of Bay City and Dawn (Eric) Hughes of Georgia; grandchildren, Max and Alex Prime, Cody, Alan and Tiffany Hughes, Michael Prime, Jr. and Hana, Splendid and Aiyanna Prime; three sisters, Holly Witek of Pontiac, Kathy (Melvin) Thompson of Caro and Shannon (Edgar) Morrison of Alabama; her mother-in-law, Lillian Rupp of Bay City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph (Ruth) Rasch of Unionville, Larry Rasch of Akron, Kathy 'Cookie' Dorsch of Sanford and Connie Doxey of Bay City; her dog, Puppy-Max; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Christine was also preceded in death by her brother, Shane Hayes; and her father-in-law, Edward Rasch. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the North Euclid Church of God, 3430 N. Euclid Ave. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Windlan. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
