Clarence passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 89 years. He was born on May 31, 1929 in Bay City to the late Edmund and Rose (Pietryga) Luptowski. Clarie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married the former Jeannette "Jan" Cieslinski in Fisherville at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on August 6, 1955 and spent 62 years together. Claire was a current member of Corpus Christi Parish and a former member of Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church. He worked and retired from General Motors Grey Iron where he was a jack of all trades working as a mechanic, diesel mechanic, body man and a technician. Claire was one of a kind that could do it all. In his spare time he was active in the League of Catholic Men and St. Vincent De Paul Society and enjoyed golfing, bowling, being a handyman and all kinds of sports.
Clarie is survived by his wife, Jan; sons, Tim (Dawn) and Shawn Luptowski; daughters, Lynnann (Allan) Williams and Michelle (Scott) Allen; grandchildren, Kayla, Nathan, Jonathan, Allison, Kelsey, Shannon, Rob and Alex; great grandson, Jaxson; brother, Edmund (Dawn) Luptowski; sister, Rita (Charles) Richards; sister-in-law, Ruth Luptowski and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Ben and Alice Cieslinski and brother, Thomas Luptowski.
Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy. Private committal and interment will take place following the mass at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.
