Craig Allen Block

Craig passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 59 years. He was born in Bay City on October 6, 1959 to Kenneth and Joan (Glaza) Block. On April 5, 1986 he married the former Sheri Ann Fenton and were married for 33 years. Craig taught at John Glenn High School for 25 years and retired in 2017. While at John Glenn he coached the men's bowling team and led them to state championships in 2005 and 2010. Craig also taught classes at Saginaw Valley State University and was active in Little League with his sons. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Craig is survived by his wife, Sheri; sons, Nathan (Katie), Trevor (Kayla) and Hayden (Sarah) Block; grandchildren, Layla, Jack, Adeline, Ethan, Lucas Block and one on the way; mother, Joan Block; sister, Lynne (Scott) Sebald; brother, Jeffrey (Deborah) and many nieces and nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Block.
Funeral and committal service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with cremation to follow the service. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
