Mr. Ziolkowski passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. Age 79 years. The son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Kukla) Ziolkowski was born December 24, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Ziolkowski enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, playing pool, his guitar and poker, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Ziolkowski served his country in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Ziolkowski is survived by his three children, Dan (Barb) Ziolkowski Jr., Debra (Richard) Lucas and David (Laura) Ziolkowski; eight grandchildren, Aaron (Samantha) Butts, Shawn (Jessica) Kerr, Rachel (Mike) Ziolkowski, Corey "Mrs. Corey" Ziolkowski, Cassandra "Pumpkin" Ziolkowski, Mikayla Ziolkowski, Krista "Twinkles" Ziolkowski and Brittany Butterfield; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Ziolkowski; four sisters, Romaine Diedrich, Florence Jahr, Ginny Ziolkowski and Kathy Gwizdala; special friend, Randall Bourcier "Big R"; many nieces and nephews and his two dogs, Miley and Cooper. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Ziolkowski and two sisters, Pauline Gwizdala and Lee Nutt.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Ted Szilagyi. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Those planning and expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
