Donald E. Forster

Donald passed away Wednesday morning, May 18, 2016 at Country Square Assisted Living in Auburn. The son of the late Harold A. and Alvina (Sturm) Forster was born April 7, 1929 in Bay City, MI. He worked for many years at Dow Chemical Co. and Monitor Sugar Co. He enjoyed woodworking and raised cattle for several years. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He is survived by one son, Obadiah T. Forster; three grandchildren, Hali, Isaiah and Chloe Forster all of WI; two stepchildren, Anjelik and Aaron; his brother and sisters, LeRoy (Veldora) Forster; Linda Forster; Judy (Larry) Miller all of Bay City; several nieces and nephews. The family would to express a special Thank you to the staff of Country Square Assisted Living, especially Cindy, Vicky and Amy for the kind and compassionate care given to our loved one during his time of need. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Seth R. Hemme followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Private burial will take place in Fremont Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
