Mr. Templin passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Brian's House. Age 81 years. The son of the late George A. and Olive Anna (Doron) Templin was born November 27, 1936 in Alger, Michigan. Mr. Templin retired from Delta College after 35 years as a carpenter. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and incredible woodworker, he excelled in high school sports, tried out for the Detroit Tigers in 1954 and was inducted into the Northeastern Baseball League Hall of Fame in 2017 and loved going to the casino and especially winning.
Mr. Templin is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Janet Templin whom he married November 9, 1957; five children, Peggy (Bill) Klopf, Jill Thorpe, David (Kim Kokaly) Templin, Joel Templin and Bethany Jackson; nine grandchildren, Jason (Dawn) Craig and Amanda Klopf, Kayle and Jamie Thorpe, Denae Asel-Templin, Darci (Jeremy) Wilchcombe and Gabriella and Tyler Jackson; two great grandchildren, Lauryn Klopf and Juelz Hicks; one sister, Janet (Robert) Adlam; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
At the request of Mr. Templin cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Allen. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers memorial cards for Brian's House or McLaren Hospice will be available at the funeral home.
