Myles, Douglas B. Essexville, Michigan Douglas B. Myles passed away on April 29th, 2014 in Essexville at the age of 50. He was born on October 23, 1963 and was the beloved son of Mary Myles and the late Gordon Myles. He was a kind and generous man with a good sense of humor and big heart. He was a graduate of Garber High School in Essexville and had worked in the past as a home alarm installer and in the restaurant/hotel banquet business. He was also an avid sports enthusiast, both as a spectator and part-time umpire for local baseball games. He is survived by his sisters Kathy (Rob) Clapper of Montrose, CO and Ann (Kevin) Fletcher of Draper, UT, his brother James (Debra) Myles of Burke, VA, his nephews Matthew Fletcher, Jacob and Luke Myles, his aunt Nancy (Jim) Leflar of Farmington Hills, MI and cousins Mike, Sarah, Mary Jo and Pat Leflar and their extended families. He was preceded in death by his brother Neil A. Myles of Essexville. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am, Friday July 11, 2014 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church on 615 Pine Street in Essexville. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik , private family inurnment will take place in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday at 10:00am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy may be made to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City, MI or to the American Diabetes Association. All arrangements are entrusted to the Gephart Funeral Home of Bay City, MI.
