Minnich, Robert "Bo", D.D.S. Saginaw Dr. Minnich passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at Brian's House. Age 66 years. The son of the late Robert and Evelyn (Newman) Minnich was born March 25, 1946 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Robert graduated from Saginaw High School in 1964 and then went on to graduate from Alma College with a Bachelors of Science then received his Doctorate from U of M School of Dentistry. Dr. Minnich had a private practice for many years and was recently employed by Health Delivery, Inc. as a staff dentist at Wadsworth Dental Center in Saginaw and Bayside Health Center in Bay City. He also held a position as a member of the U of M School of Dentistry faculty where he had mentored many senior dental students throughout the years at both dental centers. Robert excelled in all sports. While attending Alma College he played second base on the baseball team and was inducted into the Michigan Touch Football Hall of Fame for his quarterback skills. Dr. Minnich is survived by his wife, Janet Young. Also surviving are his two sons, Casey and Auston Minnich from his former marriage to Connie Minnich; one stepson, Steven (Yolonda) Smith; three step-granddaughters, Jessica, Caroline and Brittany; one brother, Dr. Scott Minnich; one sister, Sandy (Dr. Douglas) First; three nieces, Sandy (Brian) Graves, Sarah Yandall and Hailey Minnich; one nephew, John Minnich, and many cousins, aunts, uncles and brothers and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Sheri Yandall. At the request of Dr. Minnich cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Westminster Presbyterian Church (103 E. Midland St., Bay City) Officiating will be Rev. Isaac Chung. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. (201 W. Midland St., Bay City) on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Sharing memories of Bo will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial cards for Brian's House (Hospice) or the Caretell Inns of Tri Cities will be available at the funeral home.
