Mr. Duane Buck, left his temporary home, to his eternal home on March 31, 2020. He was born in Bay City Michigan to Booth (Darrell) and Dorothy (Huntley) Buck on May 20, 1935. He attended Bay City Central High School from 1949 to 1951, finishing his high school years at drafting school. He met the love of his life, June Apsey, through a mutual friend and married her on August 14, 1954. He was employed for 35.5 years at Bay City Chevorlet retiring in 1993. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, his 4 children, Pamela (Marlin) Frey, Linda Buck (Tommy Norville), Timothy (Laura) Buck, Amy (John) Miller along with his 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren with 1 more on the way, 4 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers in laws, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is pre-deceased by his parents, his oldest daughter, Deborah Spiker, 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson, his brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Dick) and Joan Buck, sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Edward (Skip) Huggard, along with his in-laws, 1 sister-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law on his wife's side.
He enjoyed, vacations, family get togethers, camping, fishing, but especially, he enjoyed hunting in St. Helen MI with his grandchildren and their friends. He captivated all with his MILLION stories and his endless JOKES! He was the best husband, father and grandfather in the whole wide world. He was a true friend to many and loved by most. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral and committal service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Kirkpatrick with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
