Mr. Edward R. Gromaski, of Essexville, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, January 6, 2014 at his residence, age 72. The son of the late John J. & Sophia (Krzysiak) Gromaski, he was born January 28, 1941 in Bay City. Edward was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. For 20 years Edward lived in West Palm, Florida and was employed by the City of Boynton Beach. He loved sports, especially NASCAR, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the casino. Mr. Gromaski is survived by his sister, Frances Lutz of Bay City; two brothers, William (Donna) Gromaski of Rhodes and Daniel (Barbara) Gromaski of Bay City; a step-sister, Donna Kerr; two step-brothers, Carl and Arthur Wellisley; and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his step-mother, Marie Gromaski; one brother, John (Monica) Gromaski, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Lutz; and a step-sister, Virginia Danilack. It was Mr. Gromaski's desire for cremation to take place. A Memorial Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James R. Carlson and Sister Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the funeral rites. Private interment will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or to the donor's favorite charity.
