Elda E. LaMere

LaMere, Elda E. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. LaMere passed away early Sunday morning April 21, 2013 at Huron Woods Nursing Home in Kawkawlin. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late John S. and Julia (Meyer) Wackerle was born January 9, 1920 in Linwood, Michigan and has resided in Bay County all of her life. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, dancing and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by one son and one daughter-in-law; Lawrence LaMere Jr. and Gloria Woods of Bay City, three daughters and three sons-in-law; Renee (Kenneth) Wilkinson of Midland, Becky LaMere -Taylor and Dan Taylor of Burt, MI and Janet (Tom) Lumbert of Midland, ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, three sisters; Mabelle Wackerle and Charlene Compton of Bay City and Madelyn Streu of Valrico, FL, two brothers; Wess Wackerle of Bay City and George Wackerle of Alliance, NB, her extended family; Randy Jones of FL and Fred (Phyllis) Hartman of Bay City, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence LaMere Sr., one son; Timothy LaMere and her brothers and sisters. A Celebration of her Life will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. The family asks that you bring pictures and memories to share with them during the visitation. At the request of Mrs. LaMere cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial cards will be available at the funeral home for the Bay City Lions Club or Hospice of Bay Area.
