She was employed mostly in women's retail, including Knepps, Nancy's Place, and the Duchess Shop, from where she retired.
Don and Evie traveled extensively with Sunshine Senior Tours. For 17 years, she enjoyed assisting owner Karen Smith as a tour guide.
Besides her husband Don, she is survived by her daughters, Gail (Dr. Donald) Haiderer (Bay City) and Lisa Beyer (Burton); granddaughters Holly Uhl (Harbor Beach), Elizabeth (Adam) Haiderer Wolverton (Haslett), and Rachel Haiderer (Bay City); great-granddaughters Allona and Abbigail. Also surviving are close nephews and niece, Gary Spychalski (Bay City), Tom Rusch (Casa Grande, AZ), Bethany Rusch (Saginaw) and great niece Katie Rusch (Saginaw).
Evie was predeceased by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Rev. Lowell H. Rusch .
Evie's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of McLaren Hospice, including Barb, Loretta, Tiffany, Krista, Ben, Amy, Anne, Brittany, Sarah, Michelle and Lynn.
