Frances Ann Brewer

Frances Ann Brewer Union, Michigan Formerly of Bay City, Michigan Frances Ann Brewer, of Union, MI, formerly of Bay City, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Indiana, age 93. The daughter of the late Fred & Gladys (Poirier) Hine, she was born June 7, 1920 in Bay County, MI. Frances was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. She had moved to Union, MI in 2008. Frances is survived by two sons, Bill (Caroline) Brewer of Cassopolis, MI and Wayne (Eva) Brewer of Union, MI; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vern (Barb) Hine of Bay City and Fred (Marilyn) Hine of Au Gres; a sister-in-law, Ruth Hine; and numerous nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Brewer; a son, Frank V. Brewer; three brothers, Ralph, Roy and Charlie Hine; and three sisters, Frieda Wagner, Thelma Hine and Lillian Hine. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. George J. Serour with the Rite of Committal following at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Parish Vigil Service will be Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Brewer will lie instate at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Liturgy. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.
