Frances E. Jeske

Frances E Jeske, 87, passed away December 27, 2018 after a short illness, surrounded by family. She was born February 9, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles and Lissette (Heard) Halliday. She grew up in the Houghton Lake area and graduated from the Houghton Lake stone high school, later moving to Linwood. She worked at Bay Med in Bay City for over 30 years, and moved back to Houghton Lake after retirement.
She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Grin, sisters Katherine Wendel, Marion Warner and Betty Halliday, and brother Charles Halliday, Jr. and her parents. Surviving Mrs. Jeske are her sons, Jeffrey (Debra) Jeske, of Houghton Lake, Vern Jeske of Bay City, daughter Kathy (Phil) Bussinger of Grand Rapids, brothers Walter (Toni) Halliday and Clifton Halliday, Sr., sister Freda Akin, 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church.
