Gloria Ann Schneider

Gloria passed away on December 11, at her residence at the age of 95. She was born In Bay City, Michigan on May 19, 1928 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Corrion) VanSumeren. Gloria graduated from St. John’s High School in Essexville. She met the love of her life, Raymond John Schneider and they married on October 8, 1949. She worked for many years in the medical field as an office manager. She loved to shop, knit, play cards, dance, bowl and spend time with her family.
Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Linda Schneider-Rediske, Judith Schneider Evans, son in-laws, Bruce Rediske, and Tim Evans and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, and brothers, Joseph, Harold, Ronald, Gerald and Louis “Darold” VanSumeren.
Friends may visit with the family on December 22 at 10:00 a.m. until the mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 2956 E. North Union Road. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. James Bessert with entombment following at St. Patrick's Cemetery and Mausoleum, 805 Ridge Road. A luncheon will follow at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Riverfront.
