Harold D. Carson, Jr.

Mr. Harold D. Carson, Jr., of Bay City, our loving father and grandfather, passed away surrounded by his family following a short illness on Thursday evening, September 24, 2015, age 84. The son of the late Harold and Theressa (Morris) Carson, he was born on June 1, 1931 in Ironwood, MI. On November 18, 1950 Harold married the former Dorothy E. Cary and she preceded him in death on December 29, 2013. He was a tool and die maker at Bay City Chevrolet for 42 years, retiring in 1991. Harold was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish - St. Mary's Church.
Mr. Carson is survived by his three children, Judy (Doug) Pretzer of Bay City, Mark (Linda) Carson of Webster, NY and Jayne Carson of Troy; and four grandchildren, Paige and Brad Pretzer and Sara and Vince Carson. Harold was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Carson in 1990; and a sister, Carol Jean VanLandingham.
It was Harold's desire for cremation to take place. A private family memorial service will be held and entombment will be in St. Patrick Mausoleum. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
