Mr. Herbert F. Behmlander was born January 31, 1931, the son of Lorena (Buerkel) and Fred Behmlander in Frankenlust Township. Herb left the arms of his loving family and took the hand of Jesus and gladly went to his eternal home. In December 1981 he married Dian Schlicker (Rader) who survives him. During their married life they made many life time friends, right up to his death at Tendercare, Midland and Davita. Thanks to the wonderful people the family met there. Herb was graduated and confirmed from St. Paul Frankenlust. He graduated from Concordia Teachers in River Forest, IL in 1954 with a bachelor's of science degree. His first teaching assignment was at Immanuel Lutheran School in Ludell, Kansas for two years and then went to Trinity, Merritt as principal and fifth through eighth grade teacher for 26 years. Grandpa leaves behind his grateful and loving grandchildren, Janelle Behmlander, Stacey (Justin) DeShano, Katy Behmlander and fiancé Ryan, Kyle & Jill, Justin and Brooke Behmlander and Sydni & Nicholas Klein and Dasha Schlicker.
