Ingrid Hacker, age 63, passed away with her loving family at her side on Thursday, March 2, 2023, after a long fight against cancer. Ingrid was born on January 28, 1960 in Bay City, Michigan. She is survived by her husband, Scott Hacker, who she married 40 years ago in Denver, Colorado and her son, Kyle Hacker. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Joanne Hacker, her sister Dinah Horning, brothers-in-law Mark Hacker and Bryon (Angie) Hacker and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Klemm, her mother Diata Gordon, brother Fred Klemm, her niece Nicole Klemm, nephew Jeremy Klemm, and father-in-law Doug Hacker.
After returning to Kawkawlin, Michigan, besides spending time with relatives as well as going North to ATV with friends, her greatest joy was spending time caring for her family, gardening, camping, skiing, boating, vacationing, and playing cards and games. Upon retirement, she and her husband spent several winters in Arizona, riding their side by side in the mountains and desert. She was a hard worker and admired for being adventurous and having a passion for life.
Funeral service for Ingrid will take place at Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. The family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight W. Kingsbury. Private interment will take place at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ingrid’s name to your Church or your favorite charity.
