James E. Manser

James E. Manser, of Bay City, Michigan, our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away early Wednesday morning December 21, 2016 at Medi Lodge of Midland. Age 82 years. The son of the late Loren and Martha (Reasner) Manser was born December 10, 1934 in New Baltimore, Michigan. Mr. Manser was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus # 414. He served in the United States Army and retired from AAA of Michigan as a claims adjuster. He enjoyed gardening, softball, pheasant hunting and was an avid U of M fan and enjoyed attending the football games.
On August 26, 1961 he married his wife of 55 years the former Maxine E. Myszynski and she is left to cherish his memories along with three children and their spouses; James A. and Elizabeth Manser, Gerald J. and Belinda Manser and Denise and Tom Crook all of Midland, eight grandchildren; Stacey, Eric, Jon, J.J., Morgan, Nolan, Brody and Chase, one sister; Margaret (Larry) Schmidt brother-in-law; Norman ( Barb) Myszynski and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Charles, and Loren Jr. and four sisters; Barbara, Melissa, Ada and Emma.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge with private Rite of Committal in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday to receive visitors from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Members of the K of C Council 414 will meet at the funeral home Thursday evening for a Bible Presentation at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Vigil for the Deceased. Mr. Manser will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial contribution to the Knights of Columbus Council # 414.
