Jan L. Brown

Jan passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at her residence. Age 74 years. The daughter of the late DeVere and Virginia (Sharp) Logan was born June 17, 1941 in Bay City, Michigan. Jan retired from Mayville Public Schools as a counselor. She was a past member of the Bay City Jaycees Women's Auxiliary and the Michigan Education Association. She was one of the original counselors for Bay Area Housing and an active volunteer at the State Theatre. Jan was very devoted to her grandchildren, was a very caring, nurturing and comforting person, she will be remember for fine cooking and her meticulous creative side for decorating and crafting. Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of fifty four years, Charles Brown whom she married on August 12, 1961; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Cindy Brown; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Sean Braden; her loving grandchildren, Andrew and Alex Braden and Miranda Brown; one brother and sister-in-law, DeVere and Elizabeth Logan Jr.; numerous special nieces and cousins. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to McLaren Rehabilitation Services and Heartland Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to Jan during her time of need. At the request of Jan cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life with family and friends will take place and will be announced at a later time.
