Jeffrey S. LaLonde

Jeffrey went to be with the Lord Thursday evening, March 15, 2018 at Mid Michigan Medical Center, Midland with his family by his side at the age of 64 years. Jeff was born in Bay City on April 24, 1953 to the late Louis and June (Momb) LaLonde. He married the former Penny Tomkinson in Bay City on September 9, 1972. He attended church at Old Town Christian Outreach Center in Saginaw and was a chaplain and pastor around Bay County. Jeff worked as an auto body man for 35 years for Garber Buick and retired in 2005. He loved hunting, fishing, and sports including, basketball and football. Most of all he loved his family and his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Penny; children, Heather (Joseph) Welz, Ashley (Timothy Davis) LaLonde, Shannon (Ron) Ahrens and Joshua (Shannon) LaLonde; grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin, Jillian, Aaron, Austin, Daniel, Claire, Marcia (Adam), Maggi, Alexandra and Elijah; great grandson, Lennon; sister, Geri (Ken) Sturm; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Norma Tomkinson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Valerie LaLonde.
Per Jeff's wishes cremation has taken place, a memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at11:00 a.m. at Old Town Christian Outreach Center, 600 Gratiot Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Officiating will be Pastor Don Dinninger. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
