Joan M. McCallum

Joan passed away Sunday February 12, 2012, at McLaren Bay Region, age 77. The daughter of the late Patrick & Marie Gordon, she was born November 2, 1934 in Bay City. Joan was retired from Graphic Metals in Bay City. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Joan enjoyed attending firework festivals and was a member of the Tomorrow Club. On July 19, 1952, Joan married James Walker McCallum in St. James Catholic Church and he survives her along with their daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Raymond) Reed of Kawkawlin and Raymond's sons, Tim Reed and Lance Reed. She is also survived by a sister, Lila Klukowski of Bay City; two sisters-in-law, Tina McDonald and Mary Friedt both of California. Besides her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh Gordon and Clifford Gordon; two brothers-in-law, William McCallum and John McCallum; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Sheneman. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 am on Friday February 17, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with Rite of Committal following at St. Patrick Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00pm and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Mrs. McCallum will lie in state at the church on Friday from 9:00 am until time of service.
