Joanne M. O'Keeffe

Mrs. O'Keeffe passed away Friday, December 21, 2012, at Bay Shores Nursing Home at the age of 86. She was born April 28, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School class of 1944. Mrs. O'Keeffe was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Past President of the Rosary/Altar Sodality. She retired as a receptionist from Dr. Ronald L. Koehler's office. Mrs. O'Keeffe is survived by her husband; Dermot O'Keeffe whom she married October 1, 1949. Also surviving are her children and their spouses; Kathleen and Jerome Mostek and John O'Keeffe all of Bay City, four grandchildren; Molly Mostek, Amanda Mostek, Alisha O'Keeffe and her fiancée; Ted Bradley and Aaron O'Keeffe, one great grandson; Eric O'Keeffe, one brother James Kaltenbach, one brother-in-law; Denis O'Keeffe of Ireland and special friends; Eva, Delores and Mary. Mrs. O'Keeffe was preceded in death by her parents; Clement and Mildred (Hilldebrand) Kaltenbach and one brother; Paul Kaltenbach. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Meissner and assisting will be Rev. Mr. James K. Fitzpatrick with the Rite of Committal following at St. Patrick's Mausoleum. The family will be present on Thursday at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. to receive relatives and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the Rosary Service and special Irish Blessing will take place at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. O'Keeffe will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
