John R. Jankowski

John passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Bay Special Care at the age of 64 years. John was born on February 4, 1955 to the late Walter and Sylvia (Harder) Jankowski. He was a member of Bay City First Church of the Nazarene and was part of the Keryx Prison Ministry. He enjoyed all sports including the Detroit Tiger and Lions.
John is survived by his daughter, Tina Genow; brothers and sisters, Sharon (Henry) Sanchez, David (Carol) Jankowski, Vickey Cook, Lillie (Dave) Mrozinski, Tami (Tony) Trumbley and Terry (Marci) Jankowski; former wife, Marilyn Hegglund; daughters, Kelly and Julie (Paul); son, Matt (Amy) and their grandchildren, Blake, Miles, Dylan and Vivian; great granddaughter, Zoey; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Tom A. Jankowski.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Oak Ridge Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Mike Rhodabarger officiating. No visitation will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers may make a memorial contribution to the wishes of the family.
