Josephine Catherine (Carrier) Trapp

Trapp, Josephine (Carrier) Bay City, Michigan Josephine passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at HealthSource of Saginaw. Age 101 years. She was born April 15, 1913 in Bay City, Michigan to the late John and Anna (Russell) Fladung. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, the Women's Club and graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1929. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Joan Weeks and her friend Fred Keller; Charlotte and Jim Thom of Saginaw, two stepdaughters-in-law and one step son, Shirley Trapp andTom and Pat Trapp of Bay City, nineteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Trapp in 1981; the father of her children, John (Jack) Carrier one son, Michael Carrier; two step sons, Jack and Gerald Trapp; one step daughter, Jean Frasik and two sisters, Marie Duso and Monica Stokoe. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish St. Maria Goretti Campus 2872 N. Euclid. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the Funeral Rites. Private Inurnment will take place in St. Andrew's Cemetery and Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Josephine will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Wishes of the Family. \
