Joyce Whaler

Beloved mother and grandmother Joyce Whaler passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 82 years. Joyce was born in Bay City on September 3, 1935 to the late Harvey and Elsie Gottschling. Joyce married Thomas Whaler in Bay City on June 29, 1957. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2008. She attended church at St. Alban's Episcopal Church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed going to the casino.
Joyce is survived by her son, Tim (Kim) Whaler; daughter, Wendy (Steve) Ruud; grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Whaler and Stefan and Delanie Leclerc. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Todd Whaler and brother, Jack Gottsching.
Graveside committal service will take place on Wednesday at Floral Gardens Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev.
