The daughter of the late Lloyd and Marveline (Howson) Schultz passed away Tuesday evening April 8, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 70 years. She was a member of Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church and the Daughters of Rebekah Saginaw Chapter # 253. Karen enjoyed working puzzles, artex painting and sewing.
She is survived by four brothers and five sisters-in-law; Richard Schultz, Clarence and Kathy Schultz, Lee and Bonnie Schultz, Elmer and Jackie Schmidt, Dorothy Schultz and Benita (Schmidt) Willy, two sisters and one brother-in-law; Nancy and Harvey Donavon and Gloria Miller, many nieces, nephews, her special friends; Linda and George Fogelsonger and many other friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers; Donald Schmidt, Kenneth Schultz and David Schultz, one sister-in-law; Nancy Schultz; one nephew, Michael Schmidt and one niece; Connie Densmore.
Members of the Daughters of Rebekah Saginaw Chapter #253 will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow Friday April 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church followed by Memorial Service. Officiating will be Rev. Susan Platt with private interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. At the request of Karen Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church will be available.
