Larry J. Kennedy

Larry J. Kennedy, of Bay City, passed away Friday morning April 22, 2011 at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland. Age 76 years. He was born November 8, 1934 in St. Louis, Michigan. Larry was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, it's Men's Club and the League of Catholic Women & Men. He retired in 1997 from General Motors Powertrain in Bay City after thirty two and a half years of service. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping up north in the woods. He is survived by his wife of forty nine years the former Geraldine M. Dombrowski whom he married on October 21, 1961 in St. James Catholic Church. Larry is also survived by two cherished daughters; Beth Bigelow and her husband Terry and Pamela Kennedy and her fiancée Tim Mark, three grandchildren; Mathew Bigelow, Megan Bigelow and Emily Grove all of Bay City, two brothers ; Lee Kennedy of St. Louis, MI and Edward and Joyce Kennedy of Oscoda, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Mary and Robert Wilkinson of Bay City and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; Lucille Totten, his father; John P. Kennedy and one sister; Sharon McCreey. The family of Larry would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hurtabise and his nurses, Dr. Tubman and his nurses; Cheryl and Penny and also a thank you to everyone who prayed for him during the last few months. Also to my love who stood by me and cared for me. I love you. Larry The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrate Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church Rev. Fr. George J. Serour and Sister Virginia Scally SNDdeN will officiate over the Funeral Rites. A private Rite of Committal Service for the family will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
