Lillian C. Geroy

Lillian Carol Geroy, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday September 21, 2011 at her residence, age 57. The daughter of the late Walter & Glenda (Boatman) Berg, she was born January 20, 1954 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Lillian was an EMT with Traverse City and Blair Twp. and also worked at Munson Medical Center and Tower Automotive in Traverse City. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lillian enjoyed crafts, was an accomplished seamstress and was involved with Girl Scouts. On June 12, 1976 Lillian married Steven J. Geroy and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2004. Lillian is survived by her two sisters and three brothers, Cynthia (LeRoy) Holysko and Sandrea Sailors, Kenneth (Deborah) Berg, Leander (Cheryl) Berg and Richard (Patricia) Berg; three uncles, Roger (Elva) Boatman, Donald (Dottie) Boatman and Robert (Karen) Boatman; her special nieces & nephews, Justin (Cheryl) Simon, Mary Simon, Kristine & Anya Sailors, Ashley & Lily Simon; her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon (Randy) Weelock, Sherry (Jim) Hirtreiter, Sue (Gerald) Cook, Allen (Deloris) Geroy along with God Children, Amber Weelock, Jacqulin Cook, Jordon Hirtreiter and Jermey Cook, and nieces & nephews; and Lillian also leaves behind her dear pets, her German Shepherd, Spring, and her three cats, Baby Ghost, Rose Tiger and Little Kitty. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lillian was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John & Mary Jane Geroy; her sister, Kathryn Joyce Berg; and a sister-in-law, Suann Cook. A memorial service will take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday September 28, 2011 at Gephart Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Officiating will be Sr. Gail Addis, IHM. Private inurnment will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
