Lynette Marie Scherzer

Lynette passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the age of 68, she was born January 8, 1955 in Bay City, Michigan. Lynette was a loving wife and mother, she loved being a Teamster and working on movies, gambling, horses, traveling and playing cards. She was a member of the Teamsters Local 337 Detroit Film Crew, Mid-Michigan Movie Makers and the Sci-Fi Group. Lynette also loved doing charity work and working with the Red Cross, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Benjamin Scherzer; two sons, Jesse (Melissa) Scherzer and Jacob (Chenwei) Scherzer; one daughter, Autumn Scherzer; mother and father, Earl and Catherine Brandow; brothers and sisters, Michael (Ann) Brandow, Jeff (Lori) Brandow, Deirdre (David) Rettelle and Dan (Kat) Brandow; brother-in-law, Don (Angie) Scherzer; sister-in-law, Bonnie Keen; nieces and nephews, Adam (Katie) Brandow, Alyssa (Bobby) Hensley, Alex (Erica) Rettelle, Sarah Brandow, Briar Keen and Megan Keen. Lynette was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Nelly and Russell Scherzer and her nephew, Bryan Brandow.

A memorial service will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
