Lynette Mary (Killey) Shelton

Lynette passed away, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 53 years after living with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) for about 15 years and more recently both liver & lung cancer. Lynette was born on October 25, 1966 in Bay City, Michigan to David and Carolyn Killey. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She graduated from T. L. Handy High School and attended Delta College. Lynette worked for many years in retail management at Imperial Sports, Big Lots, Staples and K-Mart before transitioning in an accounting position at Delphi before having to leave her position due to her illness. Lynette was an avid photographer and enjoyed sharing her photos with family, friend and on social media. She enjoyed helping out at her children's school and having her family around her.
Lynette is survived by her husband, Todd Shelton whom she married on January 20, 2007 in St. Francis X Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar, Michigan, her daughters, Isabella and Gabrielle Shelton, her father and mother, David and Carolyn Killey, her father-in-law and his wife, Richard and Joan Shelton, her four brothers, Keith (Kim) Killey, Steven Killey, Brian (Leah) Killey, Michael (Lisa) Killey, her nephews and nieces, Christopher (Nicole), Scott, Mark (Jill), Josephine, James, Spencer and Addy, as well as her great nephews and nieces, Easton, Oakley, Axel and Bauer. Lynette was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Donna Shelton and her grandparents, Clifford and Irene Robinson and Philip and Cecelia Killey.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Thomas J. McNamara with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
