Mackenzie Marie LaPorte

Our Little Angel, Mackenzie Marie LaPorte passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at C.S. Mott Children's Hosptial in Ann Arbor surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 18, 2015 in Saginaw, MI. Even though Mackenzie's time on earth was short, she gave us a life time of love. Left behind to cherish Mackenzie's memories are her parents; Jason and Amie (Blackwell) LaPorte, her brother; Chase, her grandparents; Steve and Wendy Blackwell and Susan LaPorte, her aunts and uncles; Carrie (Eric) Lupcke, Kayla (Brad Pashak) Shoultes and Tammy (Carl) Gunning, her cousins; Marissa, Austin, Brady, Madison, Zachary, Brooke, Colin and Mariah, and many great aunts, uncles and cousins. Mackenzie was preceded in death by her grandfather; Keith LaPorte. The Family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff of N.I.C.U departments at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw and the C.S. Motts Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor for the outstanding care Mackenzie received during her time of need. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, August, 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie and Craig Blackwell with private burial in LaPorte Twp. Cemetery. The Family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
