Matthew Sam Bosco was born March 2, 1934 in Bay City, MI where he resided all his life and died on May 20, 2020.
He is the son of the late John Bosco and Frances Lupo Bosco. His wife Betty predeceased him in 2009. Matt is survived by his loving and devoted children Tim Bosco and Mary Jo Bosco (Knappich), along with his son-in-law Rainer Knappich and granddaughter Sophie. He is also survived by his sister Rosalie Walsh, his brother Felix, and his "ace in the hole" sister-in-law Cindy.
Matt and his brother Tony, who just recently predeceased him, owned and worked together most of their life at John Bosco Fruit Co.
Matt attended St. Joseph's school and was a proud member of the old St. Joe's church. Throughout his 86 years, he had numerous friends and thoroughly enjoyed an active life: gathering for a coffee, garage fish frys, casino trips, and all things NASCAR. His great memory relayed many interesting stories from his childhood and life in the 1st Ward to his time spent in Germany while serving in the Army. It was only in the later years, with much discontent, he was forced to slow down. The Angels are singing Matt, you are now home.
There will be Celebration of Matt's Life in July. Please contact a family member for details.
