Michael J. Bogart

Mr. Michael Joseph Bogart, of Bay City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his residence, age 52. He was born on November 17, 1963 in Bay City. Mike graduated from Pinconning High School in 1981 then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years as an operator at Consumers Energy. Mike enjoyed bicycles and motorcycles and loved to go camping and kayaking. He loved his dogs, Jigger and Star, and they were his constant companions, going wherever he went. Mike was a good, loving father and more recently had become an excellent grandfather to his granddaughters. He loved to take care of them and treat them to dates with "Papa".
Mike is survived by his twin daughters, Angel Bogart and her boyfriend, August Cramer and Bryona Bogart; his two granddaughters, Tessa Jo Leigh Wright and Alena Maria Bogart; his parents, Joseph and Cheryl (Campbell) Bogart; his brother, Stephen (April) Bogart; his sister, Kathy Ulshafter; and his longtime best friend, Terry Schatzer, II. Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Angel Bogart.
The Funeral Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Military Honors, conducted by the U.S. Army and the Bay County Veterans Council, will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
