Michael passed away at his home Saturday morning , March 29, 2014. Age of 41 years. He was born May 9, 1972 in Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and was formerly employed at Eagle Engineering in Alpena as a welder. Mike had a great love for the outdoors and his two sons whom he enjoyed hunting and fishing with.
On March 15, 2013 he married the former Holly Hammond and she survives his passing along with their two sons; Migael and Cody Burke at home. He is also survived by his mother and step father; Diane and John Dodt, his father; Michael T. Burke I, one brother and two sister-in-law; Patrick and Regina Burke, one step brother and two stepsister-in-law; Martin and Joann Dodt, Cherie Dodt, one step sister and one step brother-in-law; Karin and Dan Harrington, his special aunts and uncles; John and Susan Burke, Katie Jacobs and Mert Keith, many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by one step brother; David Dodt, uncles and aunts; Ronald Davis, Donald Davis, Patricia Keith and Joseph and Marilyn Burke.
Funeral Services will take place Monday, March 31, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joel Pankow with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 p.m. and until the time of services.
