Molly (Peil) Reinhardt, of Bay City, Michigan. Molly, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away early Monday morning, June 20, 2011 at Caretel Inns of the Tri-Cities. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late Henry & Margaret (Jung) Peil was born December 13, 1915 in Bay City. On April 29, 1935 Molly married Martin C. Reinhardt at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. They shared their lives together for 59½ years until his death on September 28, 1994. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Molly was a licensed real estate agent and assisted her husband Martin in his real estate business, Reinhardt Real Estate & Development Co. for many years. She enjoyed watching Detroit Tigers baseball, college football and basketball on T.V. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, reading for hours, doing crossword puzzles and playing dominos. Above all else Molly enjoyed her family. She looked forward to family celebrations, after which she would reflect for weeks, smiling and laughing while sharing something someone had said or done. All who knew her will miss her warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and the ever present evidence of her Christian faith which she used to comfort and encourage all. Molly is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Doris and Bill Hunt, three daughters-in-law; Mary Ann Reinhardt, Yvonne Elliott and Marjorie Reinhardt, grandmother to; Daniel Jr., Michael, Shane and Randy Reinhardt, Martin Reinhardt, Amy Ziozios-Reinhardt, Ellynn and Glenn Cabage, Janet Willbee, Deborah Buffington, Tamra Hunt-Williams, Bill Hunt Jr., Penny Erickson, Richard and Brian Reinhardt, Jolie Van Wert and David Hegenauer, great grandchildren; Kristi, Korey, Alexis, Kylie, Jacob, Emily, Joshua, Elizabeth, Isaac and Clarissa Reinhardt, Tristan and Tanner Buffington, Lydia, Norah, and Teddy Williams, Katherine and Billy Hunt, Parker and Lilly Willbee, Garth and Leah Zielinski, Silas and Reign Van Wert, one brother; Godfrey Peil, one sister-in-law; Minnie Peil, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Molly was also preceded in death by two sons; Daniel R. Reinhardt in 1981 and Clyde M. Reinhardt in 2011, one daughter-in-law; Gloria Reinhardt, one grandson; William Reinhardt, one sister; Catherine Bell, one brother; Henry Peil, and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. We would like to thank the staff of Bay Special Care Hospital and Caretel Inns, and also Mary Ann Reinhardt, Kristi Reinhardt, Marjorie Reinhardt and Bonnie Huggard for their compassionate care and faithful support during Molly's illness. Funeral & Committal Services will take place Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt with private interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Reinhardt will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial cards for the Lutheran Hour, Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran School will be available at the funeral home.
