Nancy Kay (Bellor) Kober, age 66 of Bay City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital following a short illness. She was born on August 29, 1950 in Bay City to the late Ernest and Fedora (Raymond) Bellor. Nancy is survived by her husband Larry Kober; daughter, Karibeth (Swantek) Gakstatter (Eric) of Kawkawlin; son, Troy Swantek (Jarrod) of Tampa, FL; three step-children, Dawn Keast of Gainesville, FL, Leslie Heintskill of Bay City and Marc Kober (Jenna) of Emmitt, MI; six grandchildren, Erica and Kellsie Gakstatter of Kawkawlin, Sarah and Tyler Keast of Florida, Jessica (Atwood) of Linwood and Luke Kober of Emmitt, MI; a great-granddaughter, Hazelle Grace; a brother, James Ernest Bellor of Bay City; two sisters, Jane Wenglikowski (Don) of Bay City and Mary Beth Eichinger (Jim) of Union, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a member of Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church and worked at the Crossroads Restaurant in Bay City. Nancy did not know a stranger. She loved road trips with her friends, shopping at estate sales and going to movies.
The Funeral Service will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Korth. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church or the National Kidney Foundation.
