Norma M. Berthiaume

Norma M. Berthiaume of Bay City, Michigan. Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother will be sadly missed. She passed away Saturday October 8, 2011 in Bay City, Michigan. Age 94 years. The daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Nelson was born February 6, 1917 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and then moved to Bay City when she was seven years old , Norma graduated from Central High School in 1937. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Jerry LaPan, one son; Bob Berthiaume, her grandchildren; Robert (Jackie) Berthiaume Jr., Tracy (Mike) Kasperski, Julie (Tony) Welter and Jennifer (Paul) Reittenbach, her great grandchildren; James (Michelle) Morrow, Alec Kasperski, Jessie Kasperski, Tierney Welter, Nick Welter, Sarah Welter, Mina Welter, Nathan (Tabitha) Gingrich, Ashton Gingrich and Ryan Gingrich, her great great grandchildren; Kyle Morrow and Joseph Gingrich. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law; Mrs. Marie Hogan and Mrs. Dorothy Nelson and her good friends; Kim and Bruce Langhorne. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Berthiaume 21 years ago, one daughter-in-law; Bonnie Berthiaume, her brother; Bob Nelson and her brother-in-law; Harry Hogan The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Kim and Bruce Langhorne and their family, Dr. Shrestha, Southern Care Hospice and Pastor Bob for their kind and compassionate care they provided during her illness. Funeral and Committal Service will take place Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. 201 W. Midland St. Bay City, Michigan with private interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Officiating will be Chaplain Robert S. Metevia & Sr. Joanne Toohey, O.P. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for the donor's favorite charity will be available.
