Rita A. Herman

Rita passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Bay Valley House at the age of 88 years. She was born in Bay City on February 9, 1931 to the late Conrad and Louise (Rytlewski) Schaffer. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church.
Rita is survived by her children, Jane (Larry) Manczak, James Herman, Jill (Richard) Rasmer, Janet (Mark) Wakeman, Jeffrey (Pam) Herman and Jon (Kelly) Herman; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and two on the way; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Loretta (Harry) Stumpos and Bertha (Tim) Murphy and brother-in-law, William Robins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Herman; daughter, Judy Herman; brothers-in-law, Joseph Sheridan, Edward Kushner, Robert Long and John Herman; sisters-in-law, Catherine Kushner, Ruth Robins and Sharon Long.
Memorial Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with private inurnment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
