Robert Prentice Dimitroff passed away peacefully November 30, 2020. He was born December 10, 1943 to William and Julie Dimitroff. He had lived in Bay City since moving from San Francisco, CA in 1981. Robert was always destined to be in the car business. He spent the better part of 50 years in and around the business. From sales, to management within dealerships (he worked at Labadie Auto in Bay City for 20 ) years to owning his own auto leasing and rental companies. Those that know "Bob" know he always had some sort of a deal working.In addition to the car business he shared a deep love with the game of golf. He and his group could always be found on Saturday morning at the Bay City Country Club for a good match followed by a game of Gin. Robert was an active member of the Bay City Noon Optimist Club, Rotary Club, and also the McLaren Bay Medical Foundation. He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church since moving to Bay City.Robert always believed in doing business the right way and treating people with integrity. He was married to his wife, Mitzi (Rowley) Dimitroff for 41 years. He is survived by his wife, Mitzi; son, Daniel (wife Sara); daughters, Joshleen and Debi (husband John); grandchildren, Taylor, Grace, Charlie, Madi, Ethan, Aiden, Samantha and Emma; brother, Rick (wife Victoria) and sister, Susan (husband Curtis). He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Julie and his son, David. He was loved and will be missed by his entire extended family and friends throughout the community.The family would like to pass on thanks to Sheffield Bay and McLaren Visiting Nurses and Hospice team as he spent his last 6 months there and had basically not been able to be in contact with his family due to the pandemic. Your professionalism and compassionate care allowed him to be as comfortable as possible and we genuinely appreciate it. At the request of Robert cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
